Kintsugi (or Kintsukuroi) is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery/porcelain with lacquer and pure metallic golden powder. The philosophy behind this technique is to treat the repair as part of the object’s history as opposed to treating the repair as something to hide as if it never happened.
